Make practical photo adjustments and creative edits in one browser canvas

The Photo Editor brings several everyday image-editing actions into one canvas. It is intended for making practical changes to a single photo without opening a desktop graphics application: resize the image, crop the frame, rotate or flip it, adjust its appearance, draw over it, add text, place shapes and use emoji stickers. The editor works with one image at a time. Its main file picker accepts common PNG, JPEG and WebP image files, and the workspace also includes options to open a file through connected Google Drive or Dropbox pickers where those integrations are configured.

The canvas starts with the photo at its image dimensions and provides zoom controls so you can work on the displayed preview. Zoom changes the workspace view; it is not the same as resizing the exported image. The Resize panel changes width and height in pixels or uses percentage values, with a maintain-aspect-ratio option. The Crop panel gives you a draggable crop region and aspect-ratio presets. The Transform panel handles rotation and horizontal or vertical flipping. Apply a change when you are ready to bake it into the working image and continue with another editing step.

The Filter & Light panel contains a set of preset looks, including Normal, Grayscale, Black & White, Sharpen, Invert, Vintage, Polaroid, Kodachrome and Technicolor. These are quick canvas filter combinations rather than separate AI effects.

The panel also provides sliders for brightness, contrast, saturation and blur. Use the sliders gradually and compare the result with the original; aggressive settings can remove highlight detail, crush shadows, oversaturate colours or soften fine edges.

The Draw panel lets you mark up the image using a selected colour and brush size. The available brush styles include a solid stroke, horizontal lines, vertical lines, spray, grid and stipple. This can be useful for annotations, highlighting an area or adding a hand-drawn accent. The Text panel inserts editable text overlays, with a font selector and colour choices. The current font list includes common system fonts such as Arial, Georgia, Times New Roman, Courier New, Impact and Verdana.

Text can be positioned on the canvas before the edit is applied.

The Shapes panel includes items such as a triangle, ellipse, line, star and several arrow styles. They are useful for callouts, pointers, simple labels and diagrams. The Stickers panel contains emoji-style artwork grouped into categories such as emoticons, doodles, landmarks, stars, clouds, bubbles, transportation and beach. Select a category, choose a sticker, then position and size it over the image. Text, shapes, stickers and drawings are composited into the exported picture; they are not saved as a separate layered Photoshop or editable project file.

The editor uses an Apply action to commit the current panel's work to the canvas and save a history state. This is convenient for moving through a sequence such as cropping, then adjusting colour, then adding text. It also means that many edits become part of the flattened working image when you apply them. The undo and redo controls can move between saved history states, and the history panel shows the existing states. The layer summary can show the base photo and active text, shapes, stickers or freehand drawing elements while they are present in the workspace, but the final download is a flattened raster image.

Before applying an overlay-heavy edit, check that the text is readable, the callout shape points to the intended area and the sticker does not cover important content. Once overlays are baked into the base image through Apply, they are no longer separate editable objects in the same way as an independent design file. Keep an untouched original if you expect to revise the composition later.

The save-format selector offers PNG and JPG. PNG is useful when you need to preserve transparent pixels in the canvas or keep sharp graphic edges without another lossy JPEG step. JPG is convenient for photographs and broad compatibility, but it does not support transparency; transparent canvas areas are therefore not retained as alpha in a JPEG export. The current JPG export uses a high canvas quality setting, but the tool does not offer a separate quality slider, WebP export, print DPI control or a custom file-size target.

The editor does not provide batch processing. It opens one photo, edits that photo and produces one output image. It is not a collage or multi-layer composition manager, and it does not save an editable PSD, SVG or project file. The canvas export also does not preserve the source image's EXIF camera details or GPS metadata. If you need those details for recordkeeping, retain the original file separately.

The Photo Editor is useful for preparing a social post, adding a caption or arrow to an image, making a quick crop, producing a small graphic with shapes and stickers, or adjusting brightness and colour before sharing. It is also handy for preparing screenshots and images for presentations or web pages. For specialized work such as advanced retouching, content-aware object removal, detailed layer masks, RAW development, perspective correction or colour-managed print production, use a dedicated image-editing application with those tools.

The main image editing pipeline is built around the browser canvas. The selected photo is loaded into the editor, rendered and exported in the page rather than being submitted to a TinyImageResizer image-editing server. Performance depends on image dimensions and available browser memory. Very large photos can use substantial memory, particularly when multiple history states are created by applying several edits.
